Using the Buttons
IN/OUT
This button is really two buttons in one. The left side is IN, and the right side is OUT. Like other buttons, this button performs different actions based on what page is being displayed.
Zoom Control - This only occurs on the Map Page. The IN button will zoom the map in one level and the OUT button will zoom the map out one level.
Page Up/Down - The IN button will move you up the list, one page at a time. The OUT button will move you down the list, one page at a time.
Edit Mode - This occurs when the Virtual Keyboard is being displayed. In this mode, the IN button functions as a delete key and the OUT button functions as a 'space' key.
PAGE
This button will take you to the next page as defined by Page Order.
QUIT
This button as multiple purposes.
- Exit a page or screen.
- Cancel actions, like when panning or editing a value.
- Delete the last point when measuring distance on the Map Page.
- Take you to the previous page as definded by Page Order.
FIND
This button is used to select the Find/Search page.
MARK
This button is used to mark/create a waypoint.
POWER
This button is used to turn the unit on or off. It also as other functions depending on how long the button is pressed.
ENTER
This is also a multiple purpose button.
- On the Map Page, pressing will display a list of objects located at the cursor.
- When editing, press to accept your changes.
- After using the Arrow Keypad to highlight an item, press to select and/or to edit the highlighted item.
ARROW KEYPAD
This button is really 4 buttons in one and is sometimes referred to as the 'rocker pad'. Pressing the top of the button is UP, the bottom is DOWN, the left side is LEFT, and the right side is RIGHT.
This button is used for various purposes.
- On the Map Page, it is used to enter Pan Mode.
- In edit mode, they are used to select a digit and to change the value of the selected digit.
- Used to highlight items on various other pages.
MENU
This button is used to display the Menu page. Just about every page will have a Menu page listing various actions that can be performed on the current page. From the Map page, pressing MENU allows you to access the Map Setup page or the Measure Distance tool. From the Routes page, you can select Edit Route Settings.
Additionally, the bottom half of the page will show a list of pages that aren't enabled in Page Order.
