TODO List

Thought I'd start a TO-DO list, feel free to add items (or ideas) to the list, and to remove items that have been completed. Also, if you are working or would like to work on an item in this list, add your name at the end of the item so we don't duplicate effort.

• Step by step instructions (with screenshots) of how to use the Pre-Cut DVD's.
• Step-by-step using Xmap to add a geo-tiff file
• There as been alot of talk about batteries on the forum - we should include the highlights here on a page. (FIrst two items are covered (briefly) in the Power FAQ TW).

Include the difference types of batteries that can be used the the advantage/disadvantage is of each type Recommendations on some good battery chargers

• Maybe a page showing the results from the GPS Accuracy Challenge
• What type of Mac support is provided by DeLorme to use TP7 and the PN-40 (Covered briefly in General FAQ TW)
• How to hold the PN-40 while hiking, hunting, biking, etc. How orientation effects reception of satellite signals.
• Difference between Standard and SE. Advantages/Disadvantages of each. Including post by Chip about possible use of proprietary SD cards for some data and how this would impact an owner of a Standard unit.
• Any information on how the Pressure Sensor is used by the firmware. How the case being sealed effects the response time of the sensor.

• A page on how to import third-party shapefiles into XMap. TP7, or SA using SHP2DRAW. Including links to good places to get useful shapefiles data.

• Geocaching instructions using the new firmware 2.5
• Add to Map Management 201- How more about how zoom range can be used to control how maps are displayed.
• How to "follow" or backtrack using the track log.
• A map of the menu system.
• Add information about what is displayed when View Comment Detail is selected on Compass Page
• How to add/subtract and change order of screen pages.
• Update pages to reflect changes made in TP8 (automatic creation of map files when downloading via NetLink).
• List all the different ways of creating waypoints in the field. Both at your current location and at other locations.
