Sun/Moon Page
This page tells you:
- The time the sun will rise.
- The time the sun will set.
- The time the moon will rise.
- The time the moon will set.
- The current phase of the moon.
- Where in the sky the sun and moon will be at any given time and date.
This information is all based on your current position. Or the position of the cursor, where panned to on the map page.
How do I get to the Sun/Moon Page?
If you have the Sun/Moon page enabled in Page Order, either press the PAGE button or the QUIT button to scroll through your screens until you get to the Sun/Moon page. If the Sun/Moon page is disabled in Page Order (default from factory), then press MENU button, use the UP/DOWN rocker pad to select Sun/Moon, then press ENTER.
What information is displayed.
The page is broken up into four sections: Time/Date, Graphic, Rise/Set, and Phase.
Time - When the page is first displayed, the Time field is set to the current time. This field is used to update the Graphic section of the page.
To change the time, use the LEFT/RIGHT rocker pad to select Time, then press ENTER. Now use the UP/DOWN to change the selected digit, and the LEFT/RIGHT to select a different digit. When done, press ENTER.
Date - When the page is first displayed, the Date field is set to the current date. This field is used to update the Graphic section, the Rise/Set section, and the Phase section of the page.
To change the date, use the LEFT/RIGHT rocker pad to select Date, then press ENTER. Now use the UP/DOWN to change the selected digit, and the LEFT/RIGHT to select a different digit. When done, press ENTER.
Graphic - This section graphically displays the position of the sun and moon based on the selected Time and Date. The left side of the section displays the direction of the sun and moon. The right side displays where in the sky from West to East the sun and moon are. When the sun, or moon, is below the horizon, they will disappear from the page. The sun is the yellow filled circle (larger). The moon is the smaller circle.
Rise/Set - This section displays the sun/moon rise and the sun/moon set:
- sunrise: Top Left
- sunset: Bottom Left
- moonrise: Top Right
- moonset: Bottom Right
The times are based on the currently selected Date.
Phase - This section displays the current phase of the moon based on the currently selected Date.
Resetting Date to current day
To reset the Time and Date fields to the current time/date, press MENU button, this should have the Reset Time/Date highlighted, now press ENTER.
